Subject: Barriers to Auscultation - Research

I am undertaking a research study about identifying barriers for physical therapists [PT] and physical therapist assistants [PT/PTA] to assess the lung/heart sounds, using cardiothoracic auscultations, during their evaluation and/or treatment of patients with cardiothoracic pathologies. This study aims to examine how PT/PTA use auscultations and initiate discovery of barriers. Your participation in this study will help explain the barriers that exist and the impacts for utilization of cardiothoracic auscultations in physical therapy pratice.
